One Need at a Time
Jesus didn’t shy away from the needy or the broken. Rather, he was available to them, and some of the greatest things he did was for the broken and needy. When others moved away from them, Jesus would move towards them. We should do the same: run towards people that others run from.

One Person at a Time: Chasing Chariots
In the eighth chapter of the book of Acts, we see God doing amazing things through a man named Philip: demons were being cast out, and people were putting their faith in Jesus and being baptized. Lives were being changed. Then God does something a little strange. God sends Philip away from the revival to a desert road. Why would He do that? Why move away from success? The answer: because of one man. An outsider is about to receive some personal attention from the Lord. You see, God cares about the crowds, but He also cares about the individual.! And God changes the world is one person at a time.

    One Conversation at a Time
What do you need to do to see Jesus? Zacchaeus ran and climbed a tree so he would see Jesus, and here’s what we discover: by putting yourself in a place to see Jesus, you also put yourself in a place to receive Jesus. Zacchaeus put himself in a place to see Jesus Zacchaeus, and by doing that, he also put himself in a place to receive Jesus. He may be an outsider to the religious system, but Jesus wanted to lead him home. Jesus starts a conversation with a person very far from God.

    Fear
    Series: Tension
Fear is a very real human emotional response to any threat to the people and things we love. How do we fear rightly — that is, not excessively or in a distorted manner? We often sense the tension between our call to live Jesus’ kind of life and the risks involved in today’s world in living this kind of life. Our scripture passage serves as a reminder of the kind of response that provides a faithful resolution to the tensions that excessive and distorted fears present to our efforts to be true followers of Jesus.

    Relational Conflict
    Series: Tension
Relational conflict can be uncomfortable, complicated, messy, time-consuming, and can take lots of emotional energy. But we have all faced it. So, did you handle it well? In Matthew 18:15-20, Jesus walks his disciples through how to navigate relational conflict in a godly way.

    Unanswered Prayer
    Series: Tension
Unanswered prayer can feed into a need for control that so many of us have because we’re uncomfortable with the possibility that painful things will not only come our way but possibly stay. Prayer reminds me that I am not in control, but it keeps me close to the One Who is. Pastor Kenneth will tackle why God doesn’t answer prayer in this message.

    Who’s Your One?

Every Christian is called to be engaged in three different relationships in their lives. When those relationships are missing, we may have lots of reasons why, but it usually boils down to some kind of disobedience to the Lord. When those relationships are present, they change your life and impact your world.

    When Bad Things Happen
    Series: Plot Twist
Why does God allow bad things to happen? This is a difficult subject with no easy answers, and theologians and philosophers have debated the issue of pain and suffering for centuries. Joseph went through incredibly hard times. He suffered. He had his own questions, yet through his story, we see how God was working it out. He's doing the same with your story too! Never judge the end of the story by what you see in the middle.

    Forgiveness Happens
    Series: Plot Twist
Pain and unforgiveness can sometimes go hand in hand. There can be hurt from a friend who betrayed you, a family member who harmed you, or someone who stole from you. Joseph went through great pain, but Joseph didn’t retaliate when he saw his brothers. He doesn’t demand that they give an account for the years wasted because of them. Instead, he chooses another path: forgiveness. Forgiveness is releasing the debt, not holding on to the hurt.
