You Never Let Go
Series: Songs
Shame loves to tell a story about us that we are not enough, never will be and soon everyone will know it. When combined with our sin, shame causes us to isolate ourselves from God and from others. Shame gets us coming and going. Only the Shepherd is enough to fix this. Only the Shepherd makes us enough in Him.

    Prayers for Victory over Shame
Is the shed blood of Jesus your shame or your victory? If it’s your shame, you either want nothing to do with God or insist on shaping Him in your image. If it’s your victory, you know everything in your life hinges on it. And God shapes you. You don’t shape Him

Prayers to Have All of God
We are so small and God is so big. Still, His love for us is beyond anything we can fathom. Our needs seem enormous to us, but they are so small to God. Still, His power is available to us all.

    The Lord’s Prayer
When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, he provided them a simple, clear way of connecting their heart with God's. He made clear that they had the privilege of speaking to their Father in a way that was safe and direct about everything that really mattered in life. That same simple, clear connection is open to us too.

    Slaying the Monster of Anger
Anger has many faces! Everyone has seen it . . . felt it . . . and displayed it. Unlike all the other monsters, the Monster of Anger tends to be more visible and harder to hide. And when anger is unrighteous, it is like negative electricity that zaps everyone around us, including the innocent. Only when we ground ourselves in Jesus’ will and way is it neutralized.

At best, those will just be a temporary fix because you can’t have right relationship with others if you don’t first have right relationship with God. Slaying the Monster of Disappointment
There is so much of life that happens despite our best intentions and best laid plans. Disappointment, like most suffering, is unfair and unjust. The Monster of Disappointment is very real. It distorts reality, causes us to lash out at others or to isolate ourselves from the help and support we need. The pain of this monster will always be transmitted if it isn’t transformed through the power of Christ.

    Slaying the Monster of Hurt
When it comes to hurt, there are two basic facts: Hurt people hurt people! And hurt that is not transformed will always be transmitted! But in Christ, we don’t have to hide our hurt. In fact, God meets us right at the point of our hurt. He heals it. Then He provides us with the power to slay the Monster of Hurt for good.
