Below are a variety of opportunities we’re excited to invite you to participate in here at Parkgate. We believe God can and will use these opportunities to further strengthen His ministry in and through our church.

Each opportunity has a contact person’s email address. Reach out to this individual if you’re interested in serving. You should hear a response within a week. If you don’t hear back, please contact the church office.

ADMINISTRATIVE

• Office Aide: Assist with various tasks like filing, organizing, and answering the phone as needed.
 
• Office IT Assistance: Assist with Internet, computer, phone, and other tech needs as they arise. 
BUILDING MANAGEMENT
Interested in one of these opportunities? Contact Shirley Votaw. 
 
• Kitchen Volunteer: Keep kitchen orderly by organizing pantry and cleaning once or twice a month.
 
• Maintenance Team: Assist with various repairs/building projects as needed.
 
• Mowing Team: Mow church property once every 6 weeks.
 
• Weed-Eating Team: Take care of weeding around the property once every 6 weeks.
 
CARING MINISTRIES
Interested in one of these opportunities? Contact Danette Lawson. 
 
• HeartTouch Team: Affirm and encourage those in our church family who are hospitalized, homebound, or dealing with health limitations through regular calls, visits, cards, and prayer.
 
• Nursing Home Card Ministry*: Provide encouraging handwritten cards for monthly delivery.
ESL (ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE)
Interested in this opportunity? Contact Frankie Duenes. 
 
• Program Volunteer: Assist with our weekly ESL classes on Monday evenings. No teaching experience required. Do not need to speak Spanish. 
GUEST SERVICES
Interested in one of these opportunities? Contact Pastor Chelsea. 
 
• Greeter*: Cultivate a welcoming atmosphere by greeting at the main entrance once a month on Sundays.
 
• Usher*: Welcome folks at sanctuary doors by distributing weeklies, helping people find seats, and opening doors at end of service once a month on Sundays.
KiX CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Interested in one of these opportunities? Contact Pastor Chelsea. Please note that, for insurance purposes, anyone serving in KiX Ministry must have attended Parkgate for at least 6 months. Background checks are required for adults. 
 
• Nursery Team*: Provide loving care once or twice a month on Sunday mornings for children under 2 years. Must be able to lift small children and get up/down from floor.
 
• Toddler/Preschool Lead Teacher: Lead 2 – 5 year old class once or twice a month on Sunday mornings in a simple provided, prepared Bible lesson.
 
• Toddler/Preschool Team*: Help the lead teacher once or twice a month in the Toddler/Preschool classroom on Sunday mornings.
 
• Elementary Team*: Assist with elementary programming by supporting the lead teacher and facilitating small group discussion once or twice a month on Sunday mornings. 
MEDIA MINISTRY

• Camera Technician: Operate camera Sunday mornings during the 10:45 a.m. service once or twice a month.
 
• Media Shout Technician: Run lyrics and screens both service hours on Sunday mornings once or twice a month.
 
• Sound Technician: Operate sound system during both services on Sunday mornings once or twice a month.
SPECIAL EVENTS

• Special Events Team*: Help implement periodic special events at the church that don’t fall under a specific ministry area. May be asked to help with food and other hospitality-related tasks.
WORSHIP MINISTRY
Interested in one of these opportunities? Contact Pastor Kenny. Please note that an audition is required. 
 
• Bassist*: Help facilitate worship by playing bass on our Sunday morning worship team once or twice a month.
 
• Drummer*: Help facilitate worship by playing drums on our Sunday morning worship team once or twice a month.
