Below are a variety of opportunities we’re excited to invite you to participate in here at Parkgate. We believe God can and will use these opportunities to further strengthen His ministry in and through our church. This page is updated as various opportunities become available. Opportunities with an asterisk (*) are open to students.

Each opportunity has a contact person’s email address. Reach out to this individual if you’re interested in serving. You should hear a response within a week. Administrative

Office Aide

Assist with various tasks like filing, organizing, and answering the phone as needed. Interested? Contact Shirley.

Office IT Assistance

Assist with Internet, computer, phone, and other tech needs as they arise. Interested? Contact Shirley.

Building Management

Kitchen Volunteer

Keep kitchen orderly by organizing pantry and cleaning once or twice a month. Interested? Contact Shirley.

Maintenance Team

Assist with various repairs/building projects as needed. Interested? Contact Shirley.

Mowing Team

Mow church property once every 6 weeks. Interested? Contact Shirley.

Weed-Eating Team

Take care of weeding around the property once every 6 weeks. Interested? Contact Shirley.

Caring Ministries

HeartTouch Team

Affirm and encourage those in our church family who are hospitalized, homebound, or dealing with health limitations through regular calls, visits, cards, and prayer. Interested? Contact Danette.

Nursing Home Card Ministry*

Provide encouraging handwritten cards for monthly delivery. Interested? Contact Danette.

ESL (ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE)

Program Volunteer

Assist with our weekly ESL classes on Monday evenings. No teaching experience required. Do not need to speak Spanish. Interested? Contact Frankie.

GUEST SERVICES

Greeter*

Cultivate a welcoming atmosphere by greeting at the main entrance once a month on Sundays. Interested? Contact Pastor Chelsea.

Usher*

Welcome folks at sanctuary doors by distributing weeklies, helping people find seats, and opening doors at end of service once a month on Sundays. Interested? Contact Pastor Chelsea.

KiX CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Nursery Team*

Provide loving care once or twice a month on Sunday mornings for children under 2 years. Must be able to lift small children and get up/down from floor. Please note that, for insurance purposes, anyone serving in KiX Ministry must have attended Parkgate for at least 6 months. Background checks are required for adults. Interested? Toddler/Preschool Team*

Serve once or twice a month in our Toddler/Preschool classroom, assisting with leading children in a simple, provided, prepared Bible lesson. Please note that, for insurance purposes, anyone serving in KiX Ministry must have attended Parkgate for at least 6 months. Background checks are required for adults. Interested? Elementary Team*

Assist with elementary programming by supporting the lead teacher and facilitating small group discussion once or twice a month on Sunday mornings. Please note that, for insurance purposes, anyone serving in KiX Ministry must have attended Parkgate for at least 6 months. Background checks are required for adults. Interested? MEDIA MINISTRY

Camera Technician

Operate camera Sunday mornings during the 10:45 a.m. service once or twice a month. Interested? Contact Pastor Kenny.

Media Shout Technician

Run lyrics and screens both service hours on Sunday mornings once or twice a month. Interested? Contact Pastor Kenny.

Sound Technician

Operate sound system during both services on Sunday mornings once or twice a month. Interested? Contact Pastor Kenny.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Special Events Team*

Help implement periodic special events at the church that don’t fall under a specific ministry area. May be asked to help with food and other hospitality-related tasks. Interested? Contact Pastor Kenneth.

WORSHIP MINISTRY

Bassist*

Help facilitate worship by playing bass on our Sunday morning worship team once or twice a month. Audition required. Interested? Contact Pastor Kenny.

DRUMMER*
