One Opportunity at a Time
We often look for God to move in out-of-the-ordinary circumstances in our lives. We expect God to speak to us and use us at a special conference or on a youth or mission trip. We aren’t surprised when we encounter God when we vacation in a place that's wildly beautiful. We think reaching others for Christ takes some sort of special campaign or initiative when the reality is it often takes place in the folds of a regular, average day in our regular, ordinary lives. God wants to meet us in the ordinary and do something extraordinary.

    Full Surrender
There's a reason that the story of the rich young ruler pops up in 3 out of the 4 gospels - Jesus knows we've got a "stuff" problem - be it good or bad: material possessions, wealth, family or friends, an addiction, an unhealthy relationship, an insatiable desire for power or popularity. We can learn from the rich young ruler's unwillingness to fully surrender his stuff about what it looks like for us to really say yes to Jesus.

Through Isaiah's words, we'll discover four questions we can ask to help prepare our hearts for Christmas.

    The Church That Surrenders

Listen as Pastor Chelsea shares what it looks like to be the church by surrendering to the lordship of Jesus.

    God’s Broken Heart
When we think of Palm Sunday, we often picture a parade of happy children waving palm branches, shouts of hosanna, and Jesus riding on a donkey. While this imagery certainly isn't incorrect, it doesn't give us the full picture of the depth and heartbreak that accompany this story. Ultimately, this passage points us back to the truth that our rebellion breaks God's heart - but there is hope.

    Rediscover Your Roots

    This is the Church
"This is the church, this is the steeple ... " We've been told what the church should look like for years. But does our society's interpretation of church align with what scripture teaches? Peter unpacks the hallmarks of the godly, unique community the church can offer in 1 Peter 2:1-12.

    Choosing Hope
Theologian Dr. Tim Mackie puts it like this: “What we hope for shapes what we live for.” So if we hope for circumstances to get better, then we only live for circumstances getting better. When we’re disappointed, our hope fades. But when we place our hope in God, we live for God. That’s what motivates us to endure the challenges life brings us.
